Partners in Education’s Learning Festivals and Summer Learning Festivals
Summer learning loss, the phenomenon where young people lose academic skills over the summer, is one of the most significant causes of the achievement gap and a strong contributor to the high school dropout rate. For many young people, the summer “opportunity gap” contributes to gaps in achievement, employment and college and career success.
Learning Stations may include:
Hands-on, inquiry-based activities focused on science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literacy, the arts and nutrition. Activities are appropriate for ages 3 and up but we welcome all family members to take part.
