    Mentors in Toledo Schools Literacy

The Mentors in Toledo Schools Literacy Program is aimed at nurturing early literacy skills among students in grades K-3 by providing one on one support for struggling readers.

Incorporating Science of Reading-based instruction and fostering meaningful relationships with trusted adults, the program promotes literacy development and provides crucial social-emotional support. This holistic approach ensures that struggling readers receive the necessary tools and encouragement to unlock their full potential.

Our History

Partners in Education of Toledo was founded in 1994 by the Toledo Rotary, with support from the Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce, area banks and corporations. The first several years of Partners in Education were focused on connecting area businesses with schools to “adopt” for support and volunteering. As district and school funding and volunteer needs have changed, so has our business model.

Partners in Education is always seeking ways to collaborate in supporting area schools. Please contact us if you would like to bring one of our programs to your school, community center or agency. We love to work with community members, businesses and other nonprofit organizations on partnership opportunities. After all, Partners is our first name.
