Partners in Education’s Summer Learning Festival
The Summer Learning Village is open on Saturday from 10am-1pm.
Summer learning loss, the phenomenon where young people lose academic skills over the summer, is one of the most significant causes of the achievement gap and a strong contributor to the high school dropout rate. For many young people, the summer “opportunity gap” contributes to gaps in achievement, employment and college and career success.
Here at Partners in Education we are raising awareness of summer learning loss and helping families with resources and opportunities to keep learning going all summer long. Our July 22, 2017 the Summer Learning Festival is a three-hour celebration of all things family, summer and learning. Visit our Summer Learning Village from 10am-1pm during the Dragon Boat Summer Learning Festival for hands-on, family-focused activities for kids, parents, grandparents and kids at heart.
When you arrive, register your family and receive a free bag, a free take-home activity and be eligible for family fun packages from a number of area education providers. All of the summer learning village activities are free of charge.
